Next, users will talk to the witnesses, where they will take their statements regarding the case and what they saw. After which, they will be taken to a line-up with the suspects. After analyzing the evidence, users deduce who is guilty by presenting the pieces of evidence to implicate the culprit. This Facebook app/game had a high retention rate of users, with new cases released every week leading up to the release of the movie. Inspired by the use of tarot throughout the film, this is an interactive tarot card set/ fortune telling application that pairs characters from Red Riding Hood with the famous (and infamous) cards in a classic tarot deck. Users pick three cards and from those the meanings will reveal their fates in three areas: Love, Fortune, and Friendship; the main story arcs and highlights of the movie. Every round, users vote by clicking their favorite, then get another two-photo match-up to vote on and so on. A global leader board will track and proudly display our top 20 conquering heroines in a Craziest Bridesmaids Hall of Shame, complete with win-loss stats. The NZT site launched in conjunction with a commercial that played on-air on several stations and on-line. The site mimics traditional pharmaceutical sites showcasing the wonder of the NZT pill. The site also held a quiz/mini-game that tests a persons aptitude and mental reflexes to asses whether NZT was right for them. Regardless of how the user tested, they were told how they needed NZT and instructed to call the 1-800 number. The number led them to a recording for the pharmaceutical company and a strange grabbled message warning them about the side-effects of the pill. We wanted to utilize the existing awareness by cross-promoting on existing social media channels and engage fans and families with content that encouraged participation and fun learning activities that all can enjoy. We set up the social pages so that we could continue to push out sustainable content that would last beyond just the season one launch. By tapping into the holidays and creative based on the fun loving nature of King Julien, the series launch was very successful. We needed to re-awaken this dormant fanbase and educate the mainstream that this was a whole new series available on Netflix that went beyond the first film and would be all new adventures with Puss In Boots. Our goals were to highlight the humor and lovable nature that made Puss such a breakout hit, while promising what’s new and exciting in the new series within the Netflix format to excite current fans, attract new viewers and prime them all for the upcoming film release of Puss in Boots 2. We were able to reawaken the large but dormant fandom through strong strategic social initiatives and shareable content that focused on themes, quotes, and humor from the original property to build upon the existing audience while also introducing the show’s new characters, stories, and adventures. Posts were created to revitalize the fan base and their love for the duo, along with the rich history, characters, and of course dragons. Besides posts promoting goods, along with stop-motion videos of toys coming to life for the film, a big focus was for parents to create with kids to bring a slice of life at Berk into their own homes. A myriad of downloads consisted of crafts, recipes, decorations, how to build costumes out of everyday household items, activities, games, coloring pages and more. Content was created to bring the audience into the world of The Croods by showing the detail and spectacle of the Croodaeous Period they live in. One aspect was to engage and appeal to the female market, considering it is a female character led film, voiced by a fan favorite actress Emma Stone. We used Pintrest to showcase activities to replicate themes of the film. We created an aggressive schedule of content, for the first season, specifically targeted and cross-populated on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Going all out with the enthusiasm and inventiveness of the kids in the show we created content that would delight children and parents alike. We definitely succeeded in our task by creating quirky posts such as building messaging out of food, recreating props from the show, videos, crafts, and highlighting the delightful, off-the-wall sense of humor of the cast and writing, while being able to showcase the warmth and magical sense of the show. Colored in a pink ombre and lettered with vinyl stencils, with distressed battle damage and blood to reflect fights with demon samurai, undead Nazi soldiers, robots, and dragons from the movie and lined with crushed pink velvet to keep the books safe. The flag was created from patio fabric, dyed, weathered and distressed, then taken to a blow torch to resemble the fires of discontent among the citizens of Colombia. The logo was recreated by laser cutting the letterforms and shapes from wood and hand gold-leafing each before attaching to the cover. The case was fashioned from large books I painted and antiqued to create the illusion of a tome sealed away and lost in a fire. I hand painted vials to look decrepit and stained, filled with unknown concoctions. Several bottles were filled with strange and gruesome samples, and one even contained human teeth. Gruesome tales and chills were sold as Penny Dreadfuls. I designed the strategy deck to be in the format of a penny dreadful, layed out the deck design, and hand-stitched the binding of the deck with red thread. This in turn would start speculation and chatter on-line building buzz. Using only visual and audio cues we pulled sound clips from the original movie, as well as researching the practical visual effects for the first Alien movie, we recreated the effects to show our understanding of the brand, and its legacy. We presented this piece along with the rest of our proposal, which in turn was shown to Ridley Scott himself and gave an enthusiastic thumbs up.
